Jupiter is the fifth planet in the Solar System, that is larger than all the planets in this system put together. It is a gas giant, which means that it doesn't have solid surface and it's made by 90% of hydrogen, 8% by helium, and only 2% by heavy elements.

It has 79 known moons, which makes it the planet with the largest number of moons yet, the four largest being Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto, discevered in 1609-1610 by Galileo Galilei.
